Section 3 - Host Information

We ask that you find a reliable person to be your host/hostess. This is a great way to involve a colleague in the conference. If you name a host, he/she will be listed in the program with your workshop description and will receive a host ribbon. Names must be submitted before August 15th.

Please indicate "NONE" in both fields if you do not need/want a host.

The responsibilities of a host include assisting you with greeting attendees, helping with handouts, and checking for name badges. You are responsible for communicating with your host as to the time and location of your session. Hosts will receive no correspondence from NYSAFLT.

Please note: all hosts must register for the conference. Hosts not registered by August 15th will not be listed in the program.

PLEASE READ

  • Scheduling: Scheduling over 100 sessions over three days is a very difficult task. Every effort is made to balance languages, types of workshops, etc. A/V requests also play a role in when and where your session can be scheduled. Please inform NYSAFLT here if there are any times during the conference when you are UNAVAILABLE to present:

  • Registration: With the exception of Pre and Post Conference presenters, guest presenters from outside the LOTE profession and presenters who are not attending any other portion of the conference, all presenters are required to register for the conference. Please understand that we could not afford to waive registration fees for over 90 presenters. Your dedication and your giving of your time and energy to the profession are deeply appreciated. NOTE: Presenters of an Exhibitor Showcase who are registered as an exhibitor in the exhibit hall do NOT need to also register as a conference attendee.
My initials here signify that I understand that all presenters, co-presenters, and hosts, with the exception of guest presenters from outside the profession and presenters of pre- and post-conference workshops, are required to register for the conference at regular conference rates.
